that was insane. gonna have to do it with alliance mates in the morning. no one was on at this late hour. i tried the hero henchway and made it to the last boss group. i wish they would have upped the level of the henchies for this instance. but yeah, i agree with you. this is the first time i have felt challenged in NM since i did, "Last Day Dawns" a LONG time ago.
I question ANET making something this hard that is supposed to be a tie-in to GW2. kind of a head scratcher. you would figure that they would want everyone to be able to see this through to the end, but there is no way that is going to happen with how they have it set up. I really like the set up of it though. can't wait to give it a go with a full alliance crew.
side note**SPOILER**
after seeing blimm and zinn doing that weird operation on that seer in their lab, it was a huge let down that their help wasn't better. seemed kind of a cop out on anet's part for the asura to not be ready for the fight. would have liked to see something grandiose come out of that whole thing. instead, it was pretty sub-par. why have a build up for over a few months only to have it be a silly infusion aura? i mean, we had the trial, zinn getting his hands on a Seer with NO details whatsoever on HOW he got that thing, and then over a month of nothing progressing storywise out of that lab and finally...silly auras near the end of the battle?! Here in San Diego we have a word for that, anet: Weaksauce!

I made it through with a friend and heroes, and it was a lot of fun. The best part was finally finding out what the medals of honor are good for.

I'm still trying to h/h it, but I'm definately not disappointed here.
Edit: Completed it w/ a PUG and I am still not disappointed with how this ended...though *SPOILER ALERT* I wonder when we're going to find Langmar and Thackery now?

I thought the last battle was pretty epic though, I wouldn't want to H/H it.. hencies too low level and there's so much aoe in some of the waves you can't do anything but flag stupid NPC's around which is not my idea of fun. But with a group of humans who can think for themselves it's pretty fun.

The new ones are gold oppressor weapons similar to other high-end craftable weapons, and then green commemorative weapons, most of which are named after people involved in the war. Each weapon costs ten medals of honor.

Dang.. looks like the only things dedicatable are still just tormentor and destroyer. I am still hoping for more types.. as I don't really like much of the destroyer and tormented stuff, just a few things.

The asurans input was weak as hell, and i facepalmed when it wasn't some huge explosion of epic proportions causing a beautiful spectacle of blood, gore, broken jade chunks, etc. But it was still pretty damn fun.

So is this repeatable? And are you still able to do Wanted quests afterwards?
I don't dare start this quest, afraid I'll lose my chance at a mini Livia xD

Yow, I hope the Wanted quests are still available after you end the war - I'm still hoping for a mini Livia to complete my set.
It wouldn't really affect me, but if the Wanted quests were no longer available... I'd envisage the mini prices skyrocketing, since the number of people still able to get them would quickly dwindle. You'd also have a hard time getting Oppressor weapons.
I'm at work now... can't try for myself... how big is your party for the final battle?
